Topography

  • Located at the northernmost of Gyeonggi-do: Total Area- 695.23§´
  • Cheongsan-myeon of the east and Imjingang of the south border on Paju-gun and Jangdan-myeon of the west and the north run through the center of Yeoncheon-gun
  • Southeast of Yeoncheon-gun flows together with Hantangang and they border on Paju-gun and Jangdan-gun.
  • Gyeong-Won railway and Local Road No. 3 run through the center of Uri-gun, area of Chuganyeong and so its traffic is quite convenient.

Geology and Soil

  • River valley is crystalline schist and mostly formed cliff and so its scenery beyond description.
  • Central part of this gun is made of basalt and west and northern area is surrounded by Imjingang. Hence its traffic is somewhat inconvenient and due to lost of hill area, soil of this area is very fertile.
